W Isaak Construction Inc Customer Reviews

"Bill has done a lot of work for us and I couldn't be more pleased. They are always on time, they do amazing work, they don't cut corners, and are very detailed. Bill is just fabulous! I would highly recommend him."

—Michelle L., Penngrove CA

"With HGTV's stringent schedules and tightly controlled budgets, I ask a lot of the professionals who work with me on "Curb Appeal: The Block". Bill and his team managed to build one of our more ambitious projects on time, on budget, and most importantly, with positive attitudes and smiles on their faces - every day on the job. Truly a pleasure to work with, I would recommend them without hesitation, to anyone with an eye for quality and value. I very much look forward to working with him again."

—John Gidding,
Designer from HGTV "Curb Appeal"

"Bill Isaak and his construction team worked with us on one* of our TV episodes in Berkeley, CA. From the minute we met, he and his team were incredibly thorough, detail oriented, efficient and incredibly pleasant to work with! From beginning to end, he and his team were professional, fun, timely and worked within a tight time frame and with a very tight budget. They did an excellent job and the outcome was amazing! Everyone was extraordinary happy! He went above and beyond to make sure the project was a success and indeed it was! Thanks to you and the whole team! We really appreciated working with you and look forward to the next time!"

—Allison Tom,
Show Producer, HGTV "Curb Appeal: The Block"

"I finally bought a house in Northern California, the place of my dreams. What I thought was a fixer-upper, once construction was underway, turned into a project of much greater scale. Achieving my dream became a moving target. Each step uncovered more problems and new decisions.

I began with an architect with vision, imagination, respect for the site and a shared esthetic. We needed a builder who was sympathetic, flexible and good-natured. We needed a foreman who was a inventive, enthusiastic about a unique design, and talented. All within budget constraints, of course.

This house couldn't have been built without all three components. The result is a beautiful piece of sculpture in a singular setting and the realization of that original dream.

Bill's attention, responsiveness, and follow-up were significant in realizing the project. Their choice of a highly skilled foreman and sub-contractors who fulfilled their obligations resulted in a beautiful house. All of this was accomplished through telephone and fax connections since my full-time residence is 3000 miles away in New York State."

—Renee V.

"He has worked for me on four projects over the last 10 years.  I have been very happy with the results, that is why I have continued to use them. When problems arise (and they always do in construction) they have handled them quickly and cost effectively. I am a tough critic to please (I too am a General Contractor). I will continue to use them."

—Doug Olsson,
Pacific Property Development
Novato CA

"They have done a number of widely varying construction jobs for me over a number of years. He has always completed these jobs in a timely manner and stands behind his work fully. I find him to be a thoroughly reliable contractor."

—Sylvia S.

"During the summer a competent team led by contractor Bill Isaak transformed my nine-foot square 1950s bathroom into a shower room complete with wall tiles, pebble floor, and water-saving fixtures including low-flow toilet.  He was able to fulfill the unusually demanding requirements with skill and ingenuity. Working with his crew, skilled craftsmen he'd known and trusted for decades, he was able to stay within budget, comply with the city building codes, and complete the job successfully in a reasonable time to the complete satisfaction of the homeowner. As his policy requires, the project was reviewed a year later to make sure everything was working well; for example no cracks in the tile, drainage problems, plumbing leaks, or anything a homeowner might not recognize, but a professional contractor would spot immediately."

—Anne W.

"He was able to put together a very professional team of players to accomplish a very difficult project. I was very impressed with management, and would not hesitate to refer his company to any of my future clients."

—Jon L.

"It's been a genuine pleasure and a good deal of fun working with Bill, Tom and Will. We have to be the most pleased clients. Our house started as a summer cabin and had every sort of build-out and remodel, while keeping it's basic (difficult to work with) parallelogram shape.  In a short period of time all the uncovered problems were solved, a level room created and the cabinets perfectly installed in very difficult places. The outcome is so beautiful that, after lending their creativity, the cabinet designer, the tile designer and the painter all want to put pictures of it in their portfolios. Pictures of it are certainly going to make out Christmas letter."
