    "I can't say one bad thing about these guys. I kept seeing them at my old apartment moving other tenants and when it was my time to move I decided to give them a call. The relationship begun with a moving consultation by Sandy who came over to my apartment to see exactly what I needed to move and prepare an estimate. Very thorough and detailed and even gave me tips on things I can do to help bring down the final price.

    Moving day came and my 2 movers showed up, Robert and Jorge. They were professional, friendly, fast and thorough. Once we got to my new place, unloading was really quick so they were in and out in no time. You tell them were to put stuff and they'll do it. Needless to say Johnson & Daly has really impressed me in all respects and I would definitely use them again for my next move."

    "Best move experience ever! There are three potential pitfalls to hiring a professional mover: inaccurate pricing, damage, and theft. I have experienced all three in the past. Johnson and Daly exceeded my expectations across the board. FIrst, they came to my house and asked a lot of questions to ensure they did an accurate estimate. What I paid came in within the estimate (the first time I have ever had that experience). Second, they showed up on time and were incredibly fast and friendly. The supervisor, Steve, worked incredibly hard and was positive, upbeat, and a strong team leader. The packing crew, Robert and Bill, were the fastest I've seen and everything arrived in beautiful condition. The moving crew--Jose, Ren, Steven, Ismael, and Misael--were careful and resourceful, solving problems optimistically and being extremely careful not to dent or damage furniture or floors. All in all, this was a 5-star experience, and I would definitely recommend Johnson and Daly again."

    "IMPRESSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL. I had to move with my job and called them to help me load the truck I rented, they came on time, and made sure my truck was packed securely for my drive. My landlord made it as hard as she possibly could, I reserved the elevators one month prior, but my landlord (of course picked the elevator farthest away from my home) and chose the only door that could not remain open.

    Lo and behold, Johnson and Daly know how to keep a door opened for a move by using the tape they brought with them, they had their own dolly, and bin to load up my boxes. I live in a small studio, and I had everything packed, so it took just under and hour (even with having to use the elevator on the other side of the building). I highly recommend them to anyone needing help moving. Much more reliable than friends or family, and they know what they are doing."

    "Johnson & Daly handled our move within San Francisco. The owner came out in person to look at our stuff and to provide an estimate. The proposal was realistic and it set accurate expectations based on logistics, etc. The move itself went very smoothly and I actually enjoyed working with the crew. They were very upfront, professional, careful and fun! There has only been one ridiculously small incident: A drawer fell on new softwood flooring, leaving a barely noticeable mark. This is nothing considering the size and complexity of the move, and I am only mentioning it to provide a complete review.

    I really appreciated the crew's flexibility. They happily held off on placing furniture at our new place until I was able to apply anti-scratch pads underneath every single item. They also allowed me to evaluate space constraints at our new place on the go and they took the items that did not fit into storage. I did not request any other quotes, so I cannot compare pricing. I have the feeling that Johnson & Daly may be in the upper bucket, but at the very least this speaks to their honesty and professionalism. In the end it came out 20% cheaper, because they were such a well-oiled machine. All in all we have been very, very happy and I would definitely consider Johnson & Daly again."

    "We moved from San Rafael to Seattle. We hired Johnson and Daly to handle the move from California, and they were an excellent choice. They seem to get a lot of positive reviews and I can see why. They sent over a crew of five of the nicest guys possible who took great care of our furniture and moved everything quickly, effeciently and carefully onto their trucks. They were professional and very courteous and we had a wonderful experience.

    For comparison, I will share with you the experience we had on the other end in Seattle. Sadly, the local guys (not Johnson and Daly, but another major moving co) were not even close in terms of service. They started late in the morning, which meant they didn't finish until 10pm at night. They neglected to check whether their truck could fit down our street, which it could not b/c it was on an incline. This resulted in 2 hrs lost while they had to rent a local U-Haul and shuttle items off the truck. They dropped a heavy piece of furniture and caused extensive damage to it. Basically it was a comedy of errors and all of these things were avoidable.

    So the lesson is: you get what you pay for. With Johnson and Daly, you will get great service and a great move. As with any move, make sure you do your homework and check out your new location. Also, I recommend you insure your expensive furniture for what its worth. If we ever move back to California, I will call J&D again. They were absolutely worth it."

    "I can't say enough good things about this company. Mario is the manager and everything he said happened exactly the way he said it, except for the billing. It came in $4k LESS than he quoted, which actually, he predicted come to think of it. So, I guess he's batting 1000!     "In the past 2 years, in my job, I have used Johnson & Daly for 5 (yes, count 'em) FIVE moves. They made each move nothing short of easy for me. They were flexible to our ever changing schedule, showed up on time and proceeded with the precision and professionalism that we only wish everyone had. They provided first-rate care for everything as they packed it up, or disassembled it preparing for the move. Their memory for items was flawless (as in "Hey, did anyone see that dish that had the flowers on it?").

    Not only did they pack us up and move us 5 times, they also stored items for us -- again, they remembered better what we had in storage than what we remembered and when we asked them to bring a rug from storage that "kind of has a lot of red in it, with a blue design", they knew exactly what we were talking about. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I'd get to know my moving guys, but Mario has become like family, and each time we see the movers (particularly Steve, who managed the crew), it was like seeing old friends. I can't recommend J&D highly enough -- easy to work with, professional, knows their stuff, dependable and well-priced. Thanks, guys!"

    "I was walking down the street in SF several months ago when I noticed movers working on someone's move. I was planning a move myself so I stopped to chat with the moving crew. They were friendly and informative so I called the number they gave me. I was on a tight deadline as I was leaving town the next day for a business trip. That afternoon, Mario Batz, the General Manager, came by and gave me a very fair estimate. A move was scheduled by email and phone from afar, Boxes (free) were dropped off prior to the moving day. On the designated day, a 3-person crew arrived punctually. It was a hard move. Down one flight and then up two with heavy, bulky furniture. Moving is always traumatic but this crew were calming and made it seem easy. They were wonderful and finished 2 hours in advance of what was promised. I can recommend Johnson & Daly without reservation. They are the best and we have made 3 household moves in the last 2 years."
