"I had Pacific Coast Painting & Waterproofing paint my house recently.  They did a great job and they went beyond the call of duty.  They made sure that all surface preparation has been completed to the finest detail before painting; replaced two broken window glass panes and agreed to come back and finish the walkway for me after my roofer is done.  The price for the work was competitive and the workers were very accommodating.  Dave Shapiro (the owner) worked with my wife to install two shutters on a window overlooking Denslowe Drive and added a dome over the top of the window to tie it all together.  Dave is an artisan and he knows how to get things done."

"We had a very large difficult 3 story interior-exterior Painting project that involved exterior water leaks, with interior and exterior mold and restoration problems.  Dave with his crews handled everything from finding and stopping all the leaks, removing the old interior lath & plaster walls, installing new insulation, gypsum board, tape & texture and a sound proofing system. Dave's network of subcontractors who worked on the soundproof system was also excellent.

This was a major ordeal that also involved removing all the crown molding, baseboards, trim & window frames and re-installing everything. They also removed and rebuilt our floor to ceiling book shelves. They upgraded all our electrical outlets and included new cover plates. It all came out perfect!

The house was spotless and very clean when they left. These guys were neat, clean, polite, on time and very professional. They were a pleasure to have in our home during this project. We highly recommend them!

"I am the VP of Building Maintenance for a small condo association in San Francisco. Our lightwell was leaking badly. I spoke to eight contractors over the phone and had an initial meeting with five of them. Each had a different take on the situation with a range of prices and the time it would take.

I had a second meeting with Dave Shapiro, the owner of Pacific Coast Painting and was very impressed. Dave showed me what had to be done and sadly, showed me the substandard repairs that we had paid for over the years. which he brought up to standard. Dave doesn't just do estimates and leave the work to his men. He works with his men to assure everything is done correctly . He doesn't skimp on time or details. He checks everything out and has a personal ethic that I have not seen in years. He feels a responsibility as a craftsman and is honest to the bone.  He worked non-stop for one full week and was very detailed. Surprisingly, his cost was less than the "I'll be through in three days " kind of estimate, wrought with shortcuts.

Two days after he finished the rains began with a vengeance but we were bone dry for the rainy season. This was the best experience that I have had with any contractor
